Coober Pedy

Well this little city is really special with it's way of life and habitants. People moved here to find Opal and city has been built for this reason. It's so hot in summer that 70% of the houses are under ground. Well city it is not so beautiful but so strange. We talk with some locals that used to mine and they love it, they say it's like game, they are having big pleasure with finding Opal. It's not about money It's about their life.

That was one of the old mine place, now it is use as a camping place for the tourists.

This hole are for having air in the caves.

Our bedroom :) It is in the old mine cave. looks like grave :D

Well this is not a hill, this is the house under the ground.

All this little chimneys shows the quantity of the rooms underground. This was the roof of the underground hotel.

This is how Coober Pedy looks like.

We had a little tour inside the old mine cave. This man gave us some lessons how to mine and find Opal. He had sparkling eyes while talking about mining and Opal.

And this is magical Breakaways. Very peaceful and beautiful.

After we moved again towards cost

Eugene's birthday and the way towards Coober Pedy

For three days we stopped in Adelaide. We needed to take care of our car, A bit. Nothing special. I liked city, although I did not see much. We were camping on the parking of the golf club.  :) Was nice ;)

Dublin, camping in Port Parham

And amazing Mount Remarkable National Park. Emus and kookaburras coming  closer to humans and wondering :) amazing trees and nature is just so beautiful!

We moved towards Flinders Ranges with the couple we've met in Remarkable National Park. It's French guy, Yan and Polish girl Kat. We have same car and same problems with the car :) and good feelings towards each other :) We are travelling with them since and we are having a great time together.

My sweet roof tent bed. :*

Eugene had his 29 Birthday in the ghost town Farina :) in the middle of the desert little heaven. :)

A fly in the birthday red wine :D

And we continue road towards Lake Eyre. It was so hot and dust everywhere.

But crazy thing about Australia is that you are in the middle of the desert, nothing around, very hot, you drive hours and hours and you wish to have little shade to rest and have sleep and here it is - little Oasis with spring water and with everything you could dream about :)

Well we could not see Lake Eyre, it was too hot and local people suggest us not to take road towards the lake. So we keep our road toward Coober Pedy.
